Roman Gladius Leather Handle

This gladius is an exceptional weapon. Hate to talk about material first, but how can you beat the carved wooden grip covered in a nice leather and a gold-plated guard and pommel? Light and accurate, the sword also features the classic V-tip that made these weapons so good for thrusting. A sturdy rhomboid cross section gives this blade outstanding strength. Plus the blade is made from high carbon steel to resist chipping and breaking.

The gladius that this was reproduced from was originally called the Pompeii Gladius. Pompeii being a Roman colony that was known for it's art, culture and innovation and was often called a Eutopia. Well, a Eutopia for a little while anyway.

Comes with a wooden scabbard mounted with brass accents and double belt loops.
